Player of the Year

    

Robert Gerwin II has captured the 2009 GCGA Player of the Year award.  Locally Robert was our 2009 Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Champion for the second time.  He also qualified for the U.S. Mid-Amateur and U.S. Amateur Championships.  At the end of the season in a tight race he secured the top position with an exciting run through match play which led him to the Semi-Finals of the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in Kiawah, S.C.

Greater Cincinnati Golf Association Amateur Rankings

For the first time in our association’s history we will be implementing a ranking system to determine Cincinnati’s most outstanding male amateur golfer.  The following table shows the tournaments for which points will be awarded, and how the points are dispersed.  This ranking system will decide our male player of the year along with determining eligibility for our invitational events.
