The GCGA is proud and delighted to honor Art Plate as our 2007 White Hat of the Year. Art is a staple at GCGA tournaments as a USGA Rules Official, and checking the course set up for local USGA qualifiers. In addition to GCGA events Art officiates numerous Division I collegiate championships including the NCAA Division I Central Regional and the Preview Championship.

Art is also a Rules Official at Eastern Tennessee State and Costal Carolina invitationals as well as the Horizon League Conference Championship and the MAC Men’s Golf Championships.

Locally, Art officiates events for the Southern Ohio PGA and the USGA Women’s Amateur Qualifier at Cincinnati Country Club.

In addition to his rules work Art serves as the Membership Chair of the GCGA Board of Directors and is on the USGA Regional Affairs Committee. Art is also a member of the GCGA Course Rating team.

We are fortunate to have Art on board as a valued White Hat and look forward to working with him in the future.
