Supporting Junior Golf
Greater Cincinnati Golf Association Foundation
The GCGA Foundation was established in 1999 as the charitable arm of the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association. The Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation for the purpose of promoting the game of golf as an amateur and recreational sport, to promote junior golf and provide scholarships.
By incorporating as a non-profit, the Foundation is able to receive TAX-DECUCTIBLE donations in any amount from our members and any other interested individuals and companies. These donations provide the basis for the funds which are distributed to individuals in the form of scholarships, grants, and financial aid; as well as grants to various junior programs in the area.
It is the main goal of the Foundation to diligently work to provide, through financial assistance, the best opportunities for junior golf in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The GCGA FOUNDATION gratefully acknowledges the generous support from individuals and corporations. Their contributions enable the GCGA FOUNDATION to make a meaningful commitment to support and build opportunities for junior golfers in our region. Support from the Friends of the GCGA FOUNDATION in 2009 made possible:- A comprehensive junior tournament schedule mailed and distributed in our region
The success of the Boys and Girls Junior Met Tournaments at Hamilton Elks and Fairfield
The continued ability to offer all juniors under 18 a membership in the GCGA for only $5.00 which includes the USGA/GHIN Handicap system.
College scholarships awarded in excess of $10,000 in 2009.
